Gip Plaster has been writing for lesbian and gay publications since he answered a classified ad in the Texas Triangle when the paper was less than a year old. His interest in journalism began when a high school teacher suggested he enter a newswriting contest. He won. With a Bachelor Arts degree in Communication and experience writing for lesbian and gay publications around the country, Gip is quickly becoming known for his high-quality, controversial feature stories and his unique author interview/book review hybrids.

His work has been published by Outlines in Chicago, Just Out in Portland, Oregon, TWN in South Florida, the News Telegraph in St. Louis and others. He has also written for Second Stone, the national gay Christian newspaper and Instinct, a glossy gay men's magazine.

Gip is a community insider, in touch with his connections that span the continent and beyond, but the crisis-of-the-moment atmosphere that taints so many talented writers on both coast does not influence him.

He lives in arts district of Fort Worth with David, who is his partner of seven years and the only thing that arouses as much passion in Gip as writing.
